"S5 project is aimed at supporting and integrating the ongoing research on selected itlian test sites (the Alto Tiberina Fault (ATF), the Messina Strait and the Irpinia fault system) where advanced multi-parametric monitoring infrastructures are available or under construction. The main objective of the project is to improve the understanding of earthquake generation processes in itly and to characterize the earthquake source and medium properties in the three selected test sites by developing and applying innovative methodologies aimed at the massive processing, analysis and modelling of multi-parametric geophysical data available in real-time and off-line data banks".
